No 9: Foreign

To carry the last theme a bit further and inspired by the crazy cold weather lately, I've picked 'Foreign' as the new brief...let's see what we come up with.

No.7: Crowd

Ok Lizzie, we're up and running again :) The theme is 'crowd'. I'm in the habit of making images with one or two characters so this will be a challenge for me.

Newspaper city

I like to create imaginary landscapes, especially urban and man-made landscapes. I work a lot in notebooks, experimenting with collage and simple printing techniques to achieve different textures and effects. I used quick-off and photocopies to achieve the newspapery quality. It makes the buildings looks as though they are covered in ash and surrounded in smog or dust. I would maybe like to develop this image into a series or narrative.

No 6: Black and white...

...monochrome, bw,  greyscale call it what you will...interpret as you wish.

No 4: 'I heart...'

So Valentine's day is just 1 week away so the new theme is all about lurve...time to get our thinking caps on

No. 2: 'dressing-up'

Wowzers, I'm super impressed they we've both managed to get our first project posted ahead of the Sunday noon (GMT) deadline - Hoorah!

My suggestion for this week's theme is 'dressing-up'. I think this can lend itself to lots of different interpretations, let's see what we come up with :)
